What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sun Splash Lifeguard / Slide Attendant position at Pro Parks Management Company?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform responsibilities related to the Star Guard Elite Aquatic Risk Prevention Program.
- Ensuring that guests conduct themselves in a safe and orderly manner.
- Visually monitor guests in all areas visible from assigned positions.
- Provide swimmer protection of aquatic areas, dispatch attractions, rule enforcement, administer first aid and CPR, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all operating procedures as outlined in the RW Pools standard operating procedures for the positions they are staffing. This includes but is not limited to, completing morning safety checklist, cleaning area, immediately addressing any maintenance concerns and/or stopping operation (if necessary).
- Must attend a minimum of 4 hours of in-service training per month to retain an active license.
- Participate in Pools audit processes.
- Continuously maintain 10/20-protection rule over the guests in their respective area while on the lifeguard stand.
- Respond to any situations that compromise the safety of the guests in their respective area while on the lifeguard stand.
- Maintain an environment that keeps safety the number one concern for all guests and employees.
- Contribute to pool and deck clean up, including restrooms pick up, etc.
- Keep a clean orderly work area.
- Adhere to rotation schedule.
- Greet guests, visitors, and employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Resolves guest complaints and answers questions of guests, visitors, and employees.
- Adhere to rotation schedule.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations, and requirements.
- Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
- Adhere to company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
- Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas, and suggestions on a timely consistent basis.
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS:
Education: None
Experience: 1 years’ Lifeguard or Water Park Operations or work-related field preferred
Certification/Licensure: None
Working Conditions:

- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends

- All lifeguard applicants must successfully complete the Star Guard Lifeguard Training Program prior to being extended a job offer.
- First Aid and CPR training is provided during the lifeguard training class. Must be able to pass these classes.
- Prerequisites for the lifeguard course include:
- Swim 100 yards continuously using an approach stroke (breaststroke or front crawl)
- Retrieve a 10lb brick from the deepest part of the pool (6ft)

Tread water without the use of their hands for 1 minute
- Work well with people including children and adults
- Adhere to terms of Star Guard Lifeguard Training Program licensure
- Accuracy, thoroughness, and self-monitoring to ensure quality work
- Motivated self-starter
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old
Physical Demands of the Job:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and read, talk, and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch or crawl.
- The employee is frequently required to climb and work at heights above 15 feet.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit or balance.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth
- perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must be able to wear polarized sunglasses.
- The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This includes temperatures as low as 50 degrees and upwards of 120 degrees. You may be working in direct sunlight, windy and rainy conditions.
- The employee will be required to work in water positions where you will be exposed to chlorine and other traditionally used pool chemicals.
- The noise level is generally moderate to high.
