What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard (Seasonal) position at Pro Pool?
We are currently looking for lifeguards for the upcoming summer.
- Job Summary
- Establishes a safe, clean and well maintained swimming pool facility.
- Minimum Requirements
- Lifeguard Training Certification (Offerered through Pro Pool)
- CPR Certification (Offered through Pro Pool)
- No prior work experience
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Salary Range:
- $14.00 to $16.50 per hour depending on pool size, pool staff size, and past experience.
- Job Tasks
- Enforces pool rules and maintains a safe swimming pool environment
- Implements a pool safety program.
- Completes and directs all opening day procedures. Prepares and cleans furniture, bathrooms, pump rooms, pools, etc. for opening day.
- Communicates effectively with manager and assistant manager and pool members/patrons.
- Communicates maintenance concerns and service requests to manager and assistant manager.
- Maintains daily chemical balance in pool. Takes accurate readings and records readings in chemical log.
- Responsible for cleanliness of pools and pool area. (Pool, decks, pump room, restrooms, pool furniture, trashcans, etc.)
- Follows work schedules and completes time sheets every day.
- Maintains and keeps all necessary records concerning pool attendance, pool chemicals, accident reports, incident reports, payroll forms, swim lesson sign up sheets.
- Registers members at the pool, checks pool passes, and charges for all guests, etc.
- Assists with planning and directing special events at the swimming pool. (July 4th weekend events, Memorial Day activities, etc.)
- Completes all end of the year and pool closing procedures.
