What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Quality Inspector@ St. Louis, MO (1099 Contractor) position at Pro QC International North America?
*THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME ROLE; ITS A 1099 CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY*
Job Responsibilities: There are to be two shipments, phase 1 and phase 2. Please see attached for details, requirements and scope for each phase.
Project Duration: in a 1099 Contract, Project duration varies
Shift Hours: Project hours may vary, with a max of 8 hours on-site during business hours (Mon-Fri).
Ability to commute to St. Louis, USA. (and other MO areas after current Project completion in future)

- Phase1
- Observe the unloading at the end-client warehouse, supposed to be indoor
- Clients end customer will carry out the inspection by their own and decide how deep they check (e.g. count if all 66 gaskets are there or just check that the bag with gaskets is available)
- Major task is to make sure that everything is complete
- To record what has been checked by the end-client
- To record any missing parts in time, that we can contact our client in Italy
- Compare the end-client checking list with the packing list
- The final packing list will be available to us 15 days prior to arrival
- The inspection / observation focus will be on the big steel parts / semi-assembled machinery parts
- Detailed photo documentation necessary
- Finding list to be signed by both parties needs to be setup
- Phase 2
- An expert from Italy will join the final commissioning as observer, giving assembly advice and monitor the welding.
- Depending on the duration, the expert from Italy may not stay the complete time at the US. In this case the client is asking us to continue the observation.
- Skill set mechanical engineer
- Welding experience / NDT knowledge
- Electrical background for wiring 7 cable routing check
- Most likely Phase 2 starts in Q3/Q4
- 3 years of Quality Assurance experience/ Mechanical inspections
- Electrical to check cable routing preferable but not a must – electrical skill set is necessary
- Mechanical/industrial engineer
- Welding experience
- NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) experience
- Steel construction (final construction 10-15m tall)
- Semi-assembled parts
- Accessories (for assembly like gaskets etc.)
