What are the responsibilities and job description for the ISO 9001Quality Inspector@ Mint Hill, NC position at Pro QC International?
Industry Experience:
Project Duration: Project based; 1-2 days for a single inspection, with potential for follow-up visits as required.
Shift Hours: May vary with a maximum of 8 hrs. on site during regular business hours (Mon-Fri)
Ability to commute to Mint Hill, NC 28227 (and other NC areas after current Project completion)
- Experience in ISO 9001 and Product Specification Inspection (PSI) within the manufacturing, plumbing, or piping industries, especially related to PEX tubing.
- Conduct a QMS audit to assess compliance with ASTM standards for PEX tubing.
- Perform material quality tests, including burst pressure and hydrostatic sustained pressure, and ensure accurate product markings.
- Verify that the facility adheres to quality and regulatory standards in production processes for crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing.
- Proficiency in conducting Quality Management System (QMS) audits and inspections, particularly ISO 9001.
- Strong technical skills in performing pressure testing and verifying compliance with ASTM standards, specifically ASTM F876 and ASTM F877 for crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing.
- Knowledge of testing methods such as burst pressure and hydrostatic sustained pressure testing.
- Certification in quality auditing or inspection, such as ISO 9001 or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
- ISO 17025 Testing and Calibration knowledge preferred.
- Familiarity with ASTM F876 and F877 standards is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in Quality Management System (QMS) auditing, preferably in the plumbing or piping industry.
- A QE with dimensional data knowledge.
- A QE with A caliper background is enough
