Pro Resources is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Lafayette, IN. The primary role is to maintain machines and handle building repairs, problem resolutions, and time management.
Location : Lafayette, IN
Shift Hours :
1st Shift : 6 : 00A M – 3 : 00P M
Monday through Friday, with some mandatory overtime on Saturdays.
Rate of Pay : $22 / hour
Position Responsibilities :
Setting up machines for various products.
Troubleshooting hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics.
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
Repairing, rebuilding, and welding.
Lubrication and hand truck repair.
Building repair and maintenance.
Adapting to a fast-paced environment and frequent changes on the production line.
Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience :
Strong mechanical background.
Welding skills (Tig / Stick).
Ability to read blueprints (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
Plumbing skills (water, air, and hydraulic).
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration.
Excellent time management and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Strong team player.
Effective communication skills with plant and maintenance personnel.
Ability to work at heights up to 25’ using a ladder or man lift.
Highly motivated and willing to learn new tasks.
Availability to work weekends when necessary.
Nonessential Skills :
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment :
Exposure to very hot or cold temperature conditions.
The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud.
Physical Demands :
Ability to bend, walk, work in extreme heat and cold, climb steps and ladders, and enter confined spaces.
Must be able to respond quickly to production needs (200-300’ in approximately 30 seconds).
Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
