Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance, ensuring that all areas are clean and organized.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used properly and maintained in good working condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean environment and assisting others when needed.
- Knowledge of residential painting is an advantage but not required.
