What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linux Administrator/Engineer position at Pro Search?
Our client, an international IT services provider, is seeking to add a Senior Linux Administrator / Engineer to their growing team. This Direct Hire role is responsible for maintaining the stability, security and scalability of the Linux servers and associated infrastructure. The Linux Systems Administrator will play a vital role handling the administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting of the Linux servers to ensure the servers run smoothly and securely.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in a Linux System Administration role or relevant Linux System environment is required
- Linux OS knowledge 6-9
- Linux / Unix scripting knowledge
- Oracle experience is a plus – does not need to be a DBA type but have basic experience with patching and maintaining Oracle (RAC / DB) servers OS
- Tape movement (work day daily rotations / offsite on Wednesdays) until we can move it to a backup mount for Rubrik (if possible)
