We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing sales team of 6-7 representatives. Reporting directly to the company owners, this role is pivotal in driving revenue, expanding market share, and ensuring team excellence. The Sales Manager will be hands-on, engaging in business development, scheduling sales activities, mentoring junior sales reps, and closing deals. This individual will also play a key role in fostering long-term client relationships by guiding the sales team in account management activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership and Mentorship :
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 6-7 sales representatives.
- Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Develop training programs and strategies to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and client relationship management.
Sales and Business Development :
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in York County, Greater Portland, Lewiston / Auburn, and Augusta.Work alongside the sales team to schedule and attend on-site meetings with prospects and clients.Join junior reps in client meetings to provide guidance and ensure the successful progression of deals.Personally handle final-stage meetings to close deals and secure agreements.Strategic Planning and Scheduling :
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of sales activities and client appointments for the team.Develop sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.Client Relationship Management :
Support the team in providing exceptional account management, including advising clients on new products and services.Serve as a point of escalation for client issues and ensure timely resolutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive retention and loyalty.Collaboration and Reporting :
Work closely with the servicing team to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.Provide regular updates and reports on team performance, market trends, and business development activities to the company owners.Qualifications : Required :
Proven experience in a sales leadership role, managing and mentoring a sales team.Strong background in business development and client relationship management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking systems.Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.Preferred :
Business to business experienceExperience in office supply, printer services.Familiarity with the York County, Greater Portland, Lewiston / Auburn, and Augusta markets.Key Attributes :
