Job Summary

Pro Shop is a growing business looking to add an experienced audio professional to its team. As a Podcast & Social Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of Pro Shop’s upcoming podcasts. You should have a keen ear for sound quality, excellent communication and organizational skills, camera work experience, editing experience, and a passion for storytelling.

A successful Podcast Producer should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be comfortable with managing multiple projects simultaneously. This includes coordinating with hosts and guests, researching and developing content, scheduling and managing recording sessions, editing and mastering audio/video, and distributing episodes.

This is a full-time opportunity based in Los Angeles, CA. The position will require on-site work multiple days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the production process of podcast episodes from ideation to release.
  • Scriptwriting, editing, and reviewing podcast scripts to ensure quality and consistency in messaging.
  • Overseing camera and sound needs during studio recordings.
  • Recording and editing files for podcast episodes.
  • Designing and creating show notes, blog posts, and other promotional materials to accompany podcast episodes.
  • Developing and managing podcast marketing strategies to increase audience engagement and growth.
  • Collaborating with other departments or external partners to create engaging and relevant content for the podcast.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and changes in podcast technology to ensure the podcast remains competitive and innovative.
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth production and delivery of podcast episodes.
  • Monitoring and analyzing podcast performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Coordinating with hosts, guests, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of content.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for “traffic” related to several ongoing podcast projects.
  • Be the main point of contact for internal teams and clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project roadmap
  • Own the project plan with schedule, communications, risk, and deliverables. Evaluate, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
  • Managing production budget, project financials, resources allocation, and priorities.
  • Review and provide feedback on work progress ensuring high-quality standards and project goals are met.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of audio editing and camera operating proficiency
  • Ability to develop engaging content in collaboration with our team
  • Networking and outreach experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Project management and planning capabilities
  • Knowledge of podcast recording equipment and software
  • Research and analytical skills with the ability to enhance audience engagement
  • Experience in scriptwriting is a plus
