Job Description
Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) is a premier national youth basketball organization, and we are looking for coaches to lead our club teams in Portland, OR in 2025!
PSB coaches are high-character individuals with a passion for mentoring, leading, and educating children through the game of basketball. They foster transformational relationships with players and parents and provide a youth basketball experience that families can look back on fondly.
This is a paid part-time position with on-court hours performed via evening practices twice per week and tournament games on weekends. More hours are also available if you are willing and able to coach more than one team, and/or work other PSB workouts, clinics, and camps.

More About the Position:
Portland Coaches report directly to the Portland Director. For our best coaches, there is potential for growth and promotion both inside and outside of PSB.
The ideal candidate:
- Believes in the educational experience of youth sports and prioritizes that over wins & losses
- Possesses strong mentorship and leadership skills
- Clearly and positively communicates with kids and adults
- Possesses strong organizational skills
Our Team Coaches have the following responsibilities:
- Coach and develop players with a philosophy that aligns with PSB’s mission and values. This includes both practice planning and in-game management.
- Communicate regularly with team families concerning logistics and all team activities.
- Be consistently engaged with PSB stakeholders and address concerns quickly, with a positive attitude.
- Travel to various local practice gyms and tournaments as assigned.
Necessary experience:
- High school basketball playing experience
- Previous basketball coaching experience is preferred
