We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead and optimize our service operations. As the Residential Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of service technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling, maintaining high-quality service standards, and driving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership and Management:
o Recruit, train, and supervise a team of residential HVAC service technicians.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
o Schedule and dispatch technicians effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.
o Conduct regular team meetings to communicate company goals, updates, and best practices.
o Create and implement sales programs, utilizing multiple channels, to increase HVAC replacements, repairs, maintenance agreements, IAQ products and duct/dryer vent cleaning.
o Create and implement an effective flat rate pricing model.
· Service Operations Management:
o Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of service calls, ensuring timely and efficient response times.
o Monitor and analyze service metrics to identify areas for improvement.
o Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
o Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
o Optimize service routes to minimize drive time and fuel consumption.
· Customer Service:
o Ensure exceptional customer service is provided on every service call.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.
o Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
o Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to improve it.
o Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, repairs, and maintenance.
· Technical Expertise:
o Provide technical support and guidance to service technicians.
o Stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends.
o Assist with complex service calls and troubleshooting when necessary.
o Ensure technicians are properly trained on all HVAC systems and equipment.
o Maintain and update technical documentation.
o Financial Management:
o Monitor service department expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.
o Assist in developing and managing the service department budget.
o Ensure accurate billing and invoicing for service calls.
o Analysis and reporting on service department profitability.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Residential HVAC Service Manager or similar leadership role.
· Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems and equipment.
· Experience with flat rate pricing structure and maintenance agreements.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in scheduling and dispatching software.
· Ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Must pass a background check and drug screen
· High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree
