Quality Control Inspector
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our warehouse team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of items received and shipped for orders related to the Department of Defense (DOD). The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure items meet required quality and quantity specifications.
- Conduct random quality inspections of assemblies throughout the production process and perform final inspections of completed orders before shipment.
- Handle necessary paperwork, including inventory records, inspection reports, and receiving forms.
- Accurately enter inspection and inventory data into the company’s computer system.
- Keep track of job orders, percentage of completion and deadlines.
- Assist the production department with tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on multiple roles.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid forklift operator license.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (required for DOD-related work).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and quality control processes.
- Handy and comfortable working with tools and in a hands-on environment to optimize processes and space utilization.
- Flexibility to wear multiple hats and assist other departments as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Range: $42,000-$45,000
- Medical Insurance: Employer pays 50% of medical insurance cost
- 6 annual paid holidays (available after 90 days of employment)
- 5 days’ vacation 3 sick days after 1 year of employment
