The Financial Books and Records Transformation Analyst will facilitate the transition of financial processes to a new statewide accounting platform. This role requires an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support financial reporting, data reconciliation, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed process maps for current and future financial operations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with new system requirements.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of the Chart of Accounts (COA).
- Oversee financial data migration, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in process mapping and improvement.
- Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Oracle or transformation implementations.
- Knowledge of Power Query, PowerPivot is a plus.
- Familiarity with process modeling software (IBM Blueworks, Visio).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
