We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data warehouse solutions using SAP DataSphere, SAP S/4HANA, and CDS Views. This role requires extensive experience in data architecture, business intelligence (BI), and data integration while collaborating with business users and cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement data warehouse solutions using SAP and non-SAP datasets.
- Develop and optimize CDS Views, leveraging associations and annotations for efficient data consumption.
- Work with SAP DataSphere, S/4HANA Analytics, and ABAP programming to support data modeling and integration.
- Manage ETL processes, data lakes, cloud-based solutions, and data visualization tools.
- Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) methodologies for seamless data updates.
- Collaborate with business users, functional leads, and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, and quality across enterprise data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.
- 10 years of experience in data architecture, design, and development.
- Expertise in SAP DataSphere, SAP S/4HANA, and Core Data Services (CDS) Views.
- Proficiency in SQL, ABAP, and data integration technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) principles, including ETL, CDC, and data modeling.
- Solid business knowledge in Finance, Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- SAP certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions and modern data lake architectures.
