The IAM Engineer will participate in the development and implementation of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program end-to-end and will serve as a subject matter expert across the company. Building strong relationships with IT and business leaders is a critical component of success for the individual chosen to lead this function.
Key Responsibilities
- Continue developing a strategy and roadmap for Identity and Access Management, ensuring scalability, resilience, and a seamless end-user experience.
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management Systems, including Single Sign-On SAAS solutions.
- Integrate IAM systems with in-house applications, third-party applications, and SaaS applications for provisioning, identity authentication, access control, and developing connectors between IAM tools and other resources.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in designing, executing, and managing enterprise IAM initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
- Integrate business processes into the IAM solution and integrate appropriate technologies.
- Develop and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to demonstrate progress and results, including the development of scorecards and dashboards.
- Oversee day-to-day IAM operations, build and lead a team of analysts.
- Partner with third-party delivery organizations within IT to drive IAM solutions without being a roadblock.
- Present ideas and issues to different levels within and outside of the organization, including executive leadership, customers, auditors, and governance committees.
- Build and lead exceptional teams through collaboration, mentoring, skill training, and technology transition.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
- 3-5 years of experience building Identity & Access Management solutions using SailPoint IdentityNow.
- 3 years of experience operating SailPoint IAM tools in an engineering role, including integration with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and other SAAS applications such as Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Identity Management solutions like Kerberos, SSO, OAuth0, SAML, and OIDC.
- Development experience with scripting languages and automation frameworks for IGA systems (e.g., Java, BeanShell).
- Experience with consuming API endpoints using tools like Postman and natively from code.
- Experience with SailPoint Custom Rules and Transforms is a plus.
- Ability to query large datasets from databases using SQL.
- Data analysis experience with spreadsheets (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- 3 years of experience leading and managing teams is a plus.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and manage relationships across multiple areas of the business.
- Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Broad knowledge of current and emerging information technology industry trends and directions, including common information security management frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and COBIT.
- Ability to manage project constraints, ensuring time efficiency while delivering quality results.
