Sr. Data Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale S/4 HANA Migration Project, focusing on data migration from SAP and AS400 into the new S/4 ERP system. This role will play a critical part in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration process. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and an offshore team to perform data cleansing, mapping, transformation, and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data migration and cleansing activities for migrating data from legacy systems to SAP S/4 HANA using the Syniti Data Management Platform.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Perform data cleansing, profiling, and validation, ensuring adherence to SAP Data Management best practices.
• Design and implement data mapping and transformation processes to align existing data structures with SAP S/4 HANA requirements.
• Develop and execute data conversion scripts, cleansing rules, and transformation programs.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to confirm accuracy and completeness post-migration.
• Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to define data rules and ensure successful migration.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding migration progress, issues, and resolutions.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Syniti ADMM (required).
• Syniti Quality experience is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in SAP Data Migration, with a focus on data quality and cleansing.
• Experience with SAP BODS or similar ETL tools.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA implementation (preferred but not required).
• Experience working on large-scale data migration projects (migrating master data objects).
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, data migration tools, and governance principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  
  

Project Focus

• Migration of master data (60 objects) into SAP S/4 HANA.
• Working within a 12-person data migration team.
• Primary focus on data migration, data quality, cleansing, and rule definition.
• Close collaboration with offshore teams and business users.
  
  

Location: Hybrid – Dallas, TX / Miramar, FL (3 days/week) | Remote considered for exceptional candidates
