Requirements
- Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 routing protocols and troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Deployment and management of routers, switches, and hybrid cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
- 5 to 7 years of experience with Unix (RedHat), Windows, VMWare, and related platforms.
- 2 to 3 years of experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Rapid7 Nexpose).
- Certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – Required (flexible based on other qualifications).
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) – Required.
- CCDA or CCIE – Preferred.
- Education:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Manage Layer 2/3 network protocols and optimize data throughput by monitoring network activity.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity for various infrastructures, including campus, backbone, LAN, and partner connections.
- Review and enhance network architecture, design, and failover capabilities.
- Monitor, patch, and update all network infrastructure components.
- Utilize SolarWinds to develop dashboards for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Perform vulnerability scans to protect network segments, databases, applications, and servers.
- Assist in cloud architecture design focusing on capacity, failover, stability, and security.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
- Support cybersecurity investigations and threat intelligence activities.
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and industry best practices such as NIST.
