Position Overview :

We seek a highly motivated Account Manager to focus on mid-size state and local government accounts . This individual will develop and manage relationships with government agencies, municipalities, and related organizations. The role involves identifying opportunities, presenting tailored security solutions, and ensuring long-term client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Development & Relationship Management :

Develop strong relationships with decision-makers in mid-size state and local government agencies .

  • Identify new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales & Account Growth :

Present and sell security technology solutions (video surveillance, access control, visitor management, and more).

  • Develop customized proposals, including pricing, system design, and service agreements.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas through strategic account planning and consultative selling .
  • Government Procurement & Compliance :

    Navigate government procurement processes, RFPs, and contracts .

  • Ensure compliance with state / local regulations and budget constraints.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide solutions that align with government needs.
  • Collaboration & Industry Engagement :

    Partner with sales engineers, project managers, and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.

  • Represent the company at government conferences, industry events, and procurement meetings .
  • Stay updated on security trends, state / local government challenges, and funding opportunities.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales or account management experience , preferably in the security, technology, or government contracting sector .
  • Experience working with state and local government agencies , understanding their procurement cycles and operational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security solutions (video surveillance, access control, visitor management) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to navigate RFP processes and government sales cycles .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sales software (e.g., HubSpot, ConnectWise, QuoteWerks).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).
