Description
ROLE
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing payroll processing, tax registration and compliance, invoice reconciliations, and leave management for our organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Payroll Processing
- Generate timesheet file for import and process payroll bi-weekly, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and all payroll adjustments, checklists and reconciliation processes are followed with each payroll.
- Generate payroll reports following completion of payroll processing and assist in payroll and timesheet audit activities.
- Ensure that employee payroll processing is in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Review and approve compensation and other payroll related changes in Paylocity.
- Process garnishments, deductions, bonuses, commissions, PTO, and reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely manner and process payroll corrections as needed.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :
Bachelor's degree Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :
3-5 years prior payroll or HR experience
Familiarity with multi-state payroll and leave laws.
Knowledge of payroll software and systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Sound reasoning and decision-making skills.
