Job Summary: The Automation and Measurement Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and measurement systems within the Permian Basin. This role will involve managing a team of automation and measurement technicians and engineers, ensuring the efficient and optimal running of automation, measurement, and I&E field services throughout the area. The Automation and Measurement Technical Manager will provide leadership, guidance, safety mentoring, and technical assurance for all automation and measurement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the automation and measurement team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee the design, programming, and troubleshooting of automation systems, including RTU-ROC800/107, ABB Total flow, Scada Pak, Allen Bradley, and IDEC platforms.
Ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of automation and measurement systems to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of automation and measurement systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to the automation and measurement team and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for automation and measurement projects.
Monitor and report on the performance of automation and measurement systems and make recommendations for improvements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation and measurement technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and measurement within the oil and gas industry.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team of automation and measurement professionals.
Strong knowledge of automation systems and platforms, including RTU-ROC800/107, ABB Total flow, Scada Pak, Allen Bradley, and IDEC.
Experience in gas measurement and liquid measurement processes and systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
