In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and managing confidential employee records. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify payroll accurately and on schedule
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Manage and organize sensitive employee files and confidential HR records
- Track and update attendance, PTO, sick leave, and leave of absence records
- Prepare and file payroll-related taxes and ensure timely reporting to government agencies
- Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile payroll and provide required reporting
- Support internal and external HR audits by preparing required documentation
- Assist with benefits reporting and open enrollment processes
- Handle workers’ compensation and unemployment claims as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and HR best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or legal compliance
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and payroll practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paylocity)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
