Job Description:
As a Traffic Control Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the deployment of traffic control personnel, vehicles, and equipment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth traffic flow, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch traffic control personnel to designated locations based on project needs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatched personnel, traffic changes, and equipment usage.
- Communicate with customers, managers, field personnel, and office personnel.
- Ensure all dispatched employees have the proper equipment and arrive on time.
- Provide real-time updates and troubleshooting in case of incidents or delays.
- Respond promptly to any concerns or changes in traffic management needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in traffic control, dispatching, or logistics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and roadways is preferred.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think critically in stressful situations.
