Job Duties:
- Perform inspections on semi-trucks and equipment
- Completing preventive maintenance schedules
- Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems.
- Perform truck and trailer annual inspections
- Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Keeps supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintain a clean organized work area.
- Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts
- Must have 1 year of heavy truck repair experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Drivers License
- Clean Driving Record
- Skilled in welding
