Overview
Pro Vision Center is a locally owned Eyewear store, looking for a Optician to become a part of our teams in Auburn & South Portland. (Preferably 3 years of experience; rate of pay will change depending on experience)
Currently we are looking to hire in our Auburn location, and South Portland locations. Ideally our perfect candidate would have reliable means of transportation to be available to work between our two stores.
As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in the eye care team, assisting patients with their eyewear needs and ensuring they receive the highest level of service. You will be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, fitting and adjusting eyeglasses, and providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in optical products and knowledge of medical terminology will be essential in creating a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Interpret and verify optical prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences.
- Fit and adjust eyeglasses to ensure proper alignment and comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information.
- Provide education to patients regarding eyewear care and maintenance.
- Stay updated on the latest optical technologies and trends to provide informed recommendations.
