Pro Action’s Head Start Program is accepting applications for a Certified Teaching position for our Early Childhood Classroom at Cooktown in Bath. This is a 10-month position that follows the school calendar.
We are seeking an energetic educator to nurture and teach. Be part of a team that helps build the foundation for children's education by creating a first school experience that focuses on learning within a classroom setting.
As part of the classroom team providing services to children and families, the Certified Teacher helps children attain skills they need to be ready for kindergarten and implements Pre-K curriculum. The teacher works in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, New York State Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations, New York State Education Department Learning Standards.
New York State certification in Early childhood Education or Special Education, Birth to Grade 2 is required. Prior experience working with preschool age children, supervisory skills, excellent organizational and time management skills are beneficial.
The ideal candidate must have a driver’s license that meets agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area. Agency Driver Record History standards information can be obtained by calling Human Resources at 607-776-2125.
