- Manage various legal department projects and initiatives.
- Support the EVP with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to scheduling, making travel arrangements, correspondence, billing and other related topics.
- Understand, comply with, and educate internal clients on all relevant procedures and policies.
- Work cross-functionally to develop training and processes to ensure timely and efficient development, review, and archiving legal materials.
- Conduct legal, regulatory, and other pertinent research as needed by counsel and to complete independent projects and assigned work.
- Provides legal support to counsel in the drafting of legal and business communications.
- Reviews and responds as appropriate to routine communications and requests from internal clients.
- Corporate records maintenance, including developing databases to improve corporate record keeping.
- Maintaining and filing corporate records, including resolutions, board of director changes, annual reports, and others as needed.
- Performs work with minimal supervision.
- Works with HR Compliance to develop and deliver training.
- Handles complex issues and problems.
- Associates degree or relevant experience required, Bachelors preferred.8-10 years of experience working within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance requirements and employment law.
- Experience with cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others to address complex compliance and operational issues.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
- Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
