Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on hair care and styling options.
- Upsell salon products and services to enhance the client experience and meet sales goals.
- Assist with makeup application as needed, showcasing versatility in beauty services.
- Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling, client management, and tracking retail sales.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, nail care, and barbering techniques to offer clients innovative options.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive salon environment that fosters teamwork and creativity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
- Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing inventory and sales performance.
- Familiarity with salon software systems for efficient operations.
- Skills in nail care and barbering are a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by the salon’s schedule.
- A valid cosmetology license is required for this position.
