Roles and Responsibilities:
• Programming of Security systems including Surveillance Cameras, Access Control, IP and Analog Intercoms, Intrusion, Area of Rescue, and the supporting IT infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of network switches and IT infrastructure
• Working knowledge of electrical terms and components including Voltage, current, power, and resistance measurements and formulas. Power supplies, rectifiers, resistors, relays, fuses, and transformers.
• Customer focus and collaboration to setup systems per specifications and best practice.
• Security system survey, design, and estimation to assist Sales and provide optimal solution for Customer.
• Ability to integrate separate security platforms for enhanced customer experience (CCTV, Access Control & Intrusion)
• Ability to present solutions and provide live product demonstrations.
• Securely configure IP addresses, subnet masks and gateways on Customer’s network.
• Setup virtual LANs to separate traffic into smaller, more manageable units.
• Provided desktop support for Customer and JCI which involves installation and configuration of software and hardware, remote monitoring and programming of various systems, and the maintenance and troubleshooting of both software and hardware.
• Configure servers and workstations with domain credentials, IP address, and remote desktop.
• Calculate storage and switch capacities of Customers system.
• Program viewing workstations and instruct field on installation.
• Perform site walk to verify camera locations, installation quality, train end users.
• Detailed documentation of installed devices and configuration.
What we look for
Desired
• At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
• Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices. • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Ability to lead & work well with team members.
• Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
• Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.

• Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products used.
• Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
Preferred
• Two-year Associates Degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related field.
• NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year.
