Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) Multiple Openings
Location: Auburn, CA (Various School Sites)
Status: Accepting Candidates
We are currently seeking dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers (DHH) for 3 full-time openings within our school district
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 37.5 hours/week
- Duration: Full-time, School Year
- Pay: $40
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid California teaching credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization, Communication Handicapped, or the ability to obtain alternative certification.
- Proof of or ability to obtain English Learner Authorization.
- American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) minimum score of 4.0 or equivalent assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various grade levels and settings.
- Tailor teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students, incorporating appropriate communication methods, including American Sign Language.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure the academic success and social development of students.
