Special Education Teacher - 5th & 6th Grade
Details:
- Location: Pell City, AL
- Employment Type: Contract, Full-time
- Start Date: ASAP through May 23
- Caseload:
- 5th & 6th grade self-contained classroom
- Approximately 10 students per group
- Focus on reteaching grade-level standards and differentiating instruction to fill student gaps
- Strong skills in reading and math required
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure students receive Tier 1 instruction; responsible for Tier 2 and 3 interventions
- IEP program: Powerschool
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education
- Active Alabama Department of Education (AL DOE) teaching certification
- Background check, fingerprints, and drug screen required
- Experience in a self-contained classroom preferred
