We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a student. The student is a quadriplegic, non-English speaker who requires specialized care throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN looking to make a meaningful impact by providing essential medical support to a student in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 care for a quadriplegic student.
- Perform manual catheterization and assist with feeding.
- Assist the student with mobility around the school campus, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor the students health and respond to any medical needs as they arise during the school day.
- Communicate and collaborate with school staff, healthcare professionals, and the students family to ensure consistent and comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any changes in the students condition.
- Awaiting receipt of medical records for further care instructions.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience with catheterization, feeding assistance, and mobility support preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with a non-English speaking student.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Must be comfortable assisting with physical tasks related to student mobility.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, following the school day schedule.
- Full-Time position.
