Key Qualifications for Michigan Virtual SLPs :
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology : Accredited degree meeting Michigans specific educational standards.
- CCC-SLP Certification : Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
- Michigan State Licensure : You must hold or be eligible for a current Michigan SLP license.
- Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Certification : Required to work in Michigan school systems.
- Experience : A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with school-aged children or in pediatric speech therapy is preferred.
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
