Job Type:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Start Date: August 5, 2024
- End Date: May 30, 2025 (with potential for summer work)
- Age of Students: High school and transition students (18 - 22 years old)
- Sites: Multiple sites within South San Francisco
- Disabilities: Students qualifying for OT services may have autism, emotional disturbance (ED), and intellectual disabilities (ID)
- Caseload #: Approximately 30 students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Individualized Support:
- Deliver one-on-one and group occupational therapy sessions to students, addressing their specific needs and goals.
Develop Customized Therapy Plans:
- Create and implement personalized occupational therapy plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
Collaborate with School Teams:
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a coordinated approach to therapy interventions, fostering a supportive environment for students.
Maintain Accurate Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions to facilitate informed decision-making and ongoing assessment.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
OT Certification:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) is required, along with a valid state license to practice in California.
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience working with high school and transition students with autism, ED, and ID is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential.
