This full-time Psychologist position for the 2024-25 school year provides a valuable opportunity to support students across multiple schools, ensuring they receive theservices they need.

- Caseload:average size of 20-25 students
- Pay:$42Per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Offer individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop effective strategies and interventions to support students' academic and behavioral success.
- Attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to contribute insights and recommendations for students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Craft detailed Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) outlining students' academic and behavioral goals, along with necessary supports and accommodations.
- Deliver engaging psychoeducational lessons to students covering various topics such as social skills, emotional regulation, and academic strategies.
- Provide valuable support in implementing the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework, particularly in addressing students' behavioral needs through targeted interventions and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited program.
- Possess or be eligible for certification as a School Psychologist by the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE).
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to school psychology practice in Connecticut.
- Have experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Exhibit proficiency in providing counseling and intervention services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Show strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders.
- Possess the ability to analyze data, interpret assessment results, and develop data-driven recommendations and interventions to support student success.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices and research in the field of school psychology.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children is preferred but not required.
