ProCare Therapy is partnering with a dedicated school district in Woodhaven, MI , to hire a full-time High School Counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning styles, providing individual counseling, and facilitating student groups.
Position Details :
Role : High School Counselor
Location : Woodhaven, MI
Schedule : Full-Time
Key Focus Areas : Individual counseling, student group facilitation, and post-high school planning
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes student success
Provide individual and group counseling tailored to diverse learning styles
Assist students with post-high school planning , including college and career pathways
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student development
Utilize school software to track student progress and maintain records
Apply conflict resolution strategies and support students in overcoming challenges
Promote an inclusive and supportive school environment
Qualifications :
Masters degree in School Counseling or related field
Valid Michigan School Counselor certification
Experience with student group facilitation and individualized support
Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
Familiarity with the Comprehensive School Counseling Model
Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not required
