Special Education Teacher - ABA Focus
Are you a dedicated Special Educator with a focus in implementing ABA strategies in the classrooom and looking to put those experiences to work? ProCare Therapy is currently searching for a Special Education Teacher to join one of our trusted school districts located in the enchanting community of New Haven, Connecticut. As an ABA Specialist Special Education Teacher,you will play a crucial role in helping students with autism and other developmental disabilities navigate academic challenges while developing critical life skills. Youll use your expertise in ABA to design personalized interventions, foster positive behavioral change, and provide a structured yet flexible learning environment.

Job Description
- Full time
- M-F
- 37.5 hours per week
- ASAP start - June 11, 2025 (tentative end date due to snow make-up days)
- 10 students on caseload
- Elementary: grades 4-6
- 1 school site to service (no traveling between buildings required)
- Ideal candidate will have sufficient experience working with severe Autism students and be able to effectively implement ABA strategies and techniques in a Self-Contained classroom setting

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or higher
- Active Connecticut Teaching License
- Active Certification
- Able to develop and implement IEPs while coordinating with internal departments
- Comfortable collaborating with other teachers and staff to achieve student success
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
Interview Process
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
- 30 mins-1 hrvirtual/in-person interview with school district
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview
As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
