Position : K-1st Special Education Teacher

Start Date : Immediate | End of School Year

Compensation : $35 per hour, commensurate with experience

About the Role :

ProCare Therapy isseeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Farmington, Maine. This is a fantastic opportunity to create an inclusive learning environment and support students in reaching their full potential.

Responsibilities :

  • IEP Development : Craft and regularly update individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Instructional Support : Employ specialized teaching strategies to help students overcome academic and behavioral challenges.
  • Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational staff to implement successful teaching interventions.

Qualifications :

  • Certification : Must hold a valid Special Education Certification / Licensure in Maine (282 Certification).
  • Experience : Previous experience in special education is a plus, but not required.
  • Education : Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
