What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Architect - Software Development position at Procentrix?
The Infrastructure Architect has overall responsibility for system and infrastructure design and implementation as well as supporting future modernization initiatives for cloud migration. Activities include :
Oversee a technical team to maintain system infrastructure and integration.
Develop architecture, solution design, standards, roadmaps, and schedules based upon requirements, requested enhancements, evaluation of current system architecture, operational data, compliance and policy guidance, and other factors.
Provide infrastructure guidance to the technical teams responsible for implementing solutions, providing technical expertise as well as ensuring compliance to standards, quality, and timely delivery.
Make recommendations for improvements to usability, reliablility, operations, costs, and performance
Projected compensation range for this position is $140K - $175K. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another related Information Technology field
Ten or more years of experience supporting Solution Architecture for Enterprise systems
Experience with both SQL Server and SAP database systems
Experience with software design and development, systems operations / management; database architecture, storage and IT security
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
Experience with migration of applications from on-prem to AWS Cloud
Technical proficiency designing and implementing Cloud-based AWS Solutions
Experience with Containerization architectures (e.g., Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), orchestration and automation
Experience designing logical and network diagrams
US Citizen
Desirable Skills
Experience with DevSecOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g., JIRA), automated testing, automated deployments, blue green deployments, and branching strategy and implementation
Proven ability to develop root cause analysis, problem identification and resolutions, and roadmap for problems within system design and implementation of existing and new systems
Technical proficiency in optimizing system performance and resource utilization through log and monitoring analysis
Proficiency in network communication protocols, ports, routing, proxy settings, and firewall policies
