Job Summary/Objective/Role:
Under the general direction of Project Managers and Solutions Specialists, the Digitalization Services Technician Level 1 serves as a member of a cross-functional project team and has responsibility to support and execute tasks on projects, professional service contracts, and service calls. This will include the installation/configuration of physical computers, virtual machines, network devices, databases, third-party software applications, and general application programming.

This will include the installation/configuration of physical computers, virtual machines, network devices, databases, third-party software applications, and general application programming.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline, technical school degree/certificate in an IT-related program, or have at least 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Travel required.
- Analyze and troubleshoot existing software applications.
- Support other team members to ensure design aspects are achieved.
- Collaboration with senior-level staff to review, recommend, develop, and implement customer solutions
- Develop detailed system documentation.
- Contribute to the development of project documentation (RAILs, FATs/SATs, SOWs, FDS, etc.)
- Support project documentation at the direction of team members.
- Hardware and software installation at the direction of other team members
- Server, PC, UPS, switch, NAS, redundancy, etc.
- OS, communications software, drivers, other software packages, etc.
- Update device firmware, Install, license, and patch software, update drivers
- Networking
- Gain an understanding of networking principles such as IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, Routing, etc.
- Configure network hardware at the direction of other team members.
- Assist with the development and modification of network documentation.
- Backend Development & Support
- Gain an understanding of database development and database queries within SSMS or similar.
- Gain an understanding of integrating software application data via APIs/payloads (ERP, WMS, MES, Printing Applications, etc.)
- Create custom scripting/programming at the direction of other team members
- Become proficient in the configuration of third party software applications
- Frontend Development at the direction of other team members
- User Interface & SCADA/HMI Screen Development
- Creation of automated reports within SSRS and SCADA reporting tools
- Gain understanding of PLCs and ancillary automation equipment.
- On-site support for design reviews, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting.
- Provide remote technical support to clients under the direction of other team members.
- Executes functional tests under direction of other team members to ensure quality in software development.
- Startup Verifications (FAT/SAT documentation).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently with appropriate support.
- Demonstrate strong responsibility toward personal assignments.
- Demonstrate proficiency with PCs, operating systems, and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, MS Project).
