We currently have an opening for a Service Repair Technician for our Core Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This individual is responsible for providing timely and efficient support for our service repair center. This position is based in Houston, TX (northwest Houston), reporting to the Service and Repair Supervisor with a focus on calibration and repair services for analyzer products.
This is an Aftermarket position that will collaborate with the operations and engineering teams as well as our customers.
This role plays a critical part in driving our vision to partner with our customers to become their preferred process analytical solutions provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose and repair malfunctioning analytical instruments, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of analyzers to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members (technical support, engineers, etc.) to understand specific analyzer issues and provide support.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques in the field of analytical instrumentation.
- Perform all duties with operational excellence and a service-minded focus.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, actively identifying potential hazards, and promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Apply equal amounts of skills and dedication to all other duties as assigned.
Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
- Associates degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 year proven experience in repairing and maintaining analytical instruments or similar equipment.
- Must have experience in troubleshooting circuit boards to the component level.
- Experience with specific brands or types of analyzers commonly used in the industry is preferred.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate company product information to external and internal customers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to use job specific tools to inspect and repair parts (i.e. multimeter, SourceMeter, soldering iron, etc.).
- Ability to read/interpret assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, schematics, and specifications.
- Understand the engineering and quality management system processes to ensure compliance to ISO regulations.
- Demonstrates ability to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills.
- Fiscal and financial awareness is a must.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and have initiative to follow through on commitments with team and management
