This contract operator position is essentially an internship at an established and successful midstream natural gas company operating in the Permian Basin.
Operators for Process Remedies are eligible to begin the hiring process with the company we are contracting to after 12 months. This is contingent upon the operator's overall performance during the internship.
The ideal candidate for this position is a knowledgeable, experienced and positive operator who is eager to learn and grow as a natural gas process operator.

Job Description
- 2 operators on duty for each 12 hour shift, alternating day and night shifts between each work week
- Schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off
- Cryogenic natural gas plant that processes 200 mmscfd with H2S Present
- Electric motor driven reciprocating compressors
- Equipment the operator is responsible for being able to safely operate includes a Wonderware operating system controlling a natural gas processing plant with a TEG (triethylene glycol) system using a BTEX condenser, amine system, mol sieve dehydrators,expander compressor, propane screw compressors, a condensate stabilizing system, demthanizer tower, various centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, coalescing filters, 3 phase separators, multi-pass heat exchangers, remotely and locally controlled level/pressure/temperature controllers, two Motor Control Centers (MCC), tank farm with atmospheric condensate storage tanks, a pressure relief system with a flare stack, instrument air compressors, emergency shut down systems, etc.
- Issues work permits for contractors performing planned and unplanned maintenance or repairs on all plant equipment
- Maintains harmonious working relationship with management, gas control, contractors, visitors and all field and plant operations personnel
- Performs amine concentration tests daily
- Performs RVP (Reid Vapor Pressure) tests on stabilized and unstabilized condensate daily
- Inputs plant data readings into microsoft excel worksheets and emails to management 1-2 times each 12 hour shift
- Quickly & effectively adjusts to meet a goal and/or changing circumstances, e.g., changed work schedules, a change in plant dynamics, strategic directions of the company, etc.
Compensation Package
- $40 - $55 per hour depending on experience and performance. A performance based bonus is figured into the hourly rate. For example, an operator with a $40 hourly rate breaks down to $30 base pay and a $10 performance based bonus that is paid out with each paycheck. The performance based bonus is there as an incentive to learn the plant you are operating, as well as maintaining good relationships with producers and coworkers.
- Overtime rate of time and half after 40 hours in a week (monday - sunday)
- $0.56 per mile for each mile traveled from your residence to the plant every day
- Double time per hour for any company recognized holidays worked

Taxes
Operators for Process Remedies are 1099 contractors which means that taxes will not be taken out of your checks. This can put more money in your pocket at the end of the year if you are proactive with handling your taxes and deductions
Requirements

- Proficient in Microsoft excel
- Ability to commute or relocate to the Monahans, TX area
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
