Job Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and increasing current Process Supply, Inc. sales in the physical territory and product market as assigned by the General Manager.
Responsibilities And Duties
Typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Outside Sales Representative include:
- Increase sales and provide support for current customer base within the territory assigned, including key, target, and growth accounts. Territory is Knoxville, TN.
- Actively visit companies within assigned territory and inquire about their needs.
- Introduce Process Supply capabilities to businesses.
- Entertain current and potential customers to ensure annual growth.
- Coordinate with vendors and management for all training necessary to provide services required.
- Inspect defective material in the field and document with Quality and Sales Department.
- Meet daily, weekly, and/or monthly sales goals set by General Manager and provide reports as assigned.
- Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
- Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.
- Assist in research, identification, and implementation of new products, customers, and programs to enhance annual profitability.
- Perform follow up on all quotations in a timely manner.
- Proactively review open orders, advising customers of delivery status changes.
- Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with other Outside and Inside Sales Representatives, and management.
- Timely submit expense reports and other department expenses to General Manager for approval.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in sales
- Market experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with customers and suppliers.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Creative, forward thinker
- Valid State Driver’s License; safe driving record
- Five or more years of experience in sales
