What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHP Director position at ProcessBarron?
POSITION SUMMARY: AHP director will be the strategic owner of growth and profitability for this critical segment of the company. Need to be a strategic leader who may need to branch out from the past in order to obtain the future we can achieve.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee a diverse team of Product line leaders and Estimating team. Products including Repair and Rebuild, Inspect, Advise and Quote, Dampers, Expansion Joints, Fabrication and AHP Parts
· Own the overall strategy to grow top-line and profit for the group of AHP, including structure, new product development and hit-rate and win-rate metrics.
· Understand and operationalize hit-rate and win-rate data to learn from the past to help drive changes regarding pricing or marketing strategies.
· Be a change agent, need to be able to listen to the team and also assess the market leveraging the marketing and sales leadership teams to finalize strategies to assist in our growth. This may mean delving into new products in order to facilitate growth.
· Organize the team, conduct overall team mtgs in person, establish a team culture around growth and recognize the team or individuals who enable that vision to be met
· Develop strategic campaigns and operationalize/measure the teams on their progress. Campaigns like expanding ReWorld Fan work, target Robinson or Air Stream installed base, focused energy from Marketing through sales and leadership to enable positive change
· Demonstrate the technical nature of this group by supporting customers and the team during difficult situations that arise out of doing business as a AHP product line
· Support and find ways to “upsell” options or parts on our proposals, increase our quote lines
• Leverage new concepts like Monitoring and ensure we have a plan to include that work in our proposals
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, GP ERP, Outlook, Etc.)
· 5 years technical background working in an industrial environment, industrial support or sales role. Understanding of air handling parts and equipment is a preferred.
· Ability to read blueprints/drawings, interpret measurements and details and efficiently communicate that information to customers and vendors
· Excellent communication skills (email, phone, etc) on a regular basis with customers, vendors and co-workers
· Quick acting to respond and resolve issues with emergency shipments, logistics issues, etc.
· Self-starter and ability to work individually to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency
· Must be able to work well in a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers
· Understanding of resell/drop-ship of items based on intellectual property and sales history
Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:
•Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
•Must be physically capable of accessing all locations at customer site.
•Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
•Will be working at times in covered environment or in an outside environment.
•The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.
