What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/Designer for Industrial Equipment position at ProcessBarron?
We are seeking a highly skilled designer/draftsman for the Material Handling Engineering Department at ProcessBarron, a world-class leader in design and manufacturing conveying equipment located in Pelham, AL.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of drafting experience, proficiency at AutoCAD 2D drafting, structural detailing background, and knowledge of machining, welding, and fabrication processes.
Duties include producing customer general arrangement drawings, producing fabrication drawings, including dimensioning, weld specifications, and machining tolerances for shop use, checking of drawings produced by other designers, performing design analysis as requested, interaction and communication with persons, internal to and outside of the company, and vendors regarding drawings, design information, project management, fabrication support, installation support, and general customer support.

Job demands include physical ability to perform work assigned, field measuring tasks which can include climbing ladders and stairs, entering into confined spaces, extreme temperature, humidity, etc., MSHA and OSHA safety certification, overtime, travel less than once per month with durations of 1 to 3 days.
