Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and trainable individual to join our cannabis processing facility as a Dishwasher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment in a fast-paced kitchen environment, while adhering to strict quality and safety standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential for this role. This is a 4 day a week, 7am to 5:30pm position, flexible schedule M-F.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Ensure all items are cleaned to health and safety standards.
Properly store clean dishes and kitchenware in designated areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations, sinks, and drying racks.
Empty and clean trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, especially in dishwashing areas.
Clean kitchen surfaces and assist with deep cleaning tasks as needed.
Monitor dishwashing soap, sanitizers, and other cleaning supplies; notify management when restocking is needed.
Ensure kitchen tools and small equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Maintain compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, or manufacturing setting is a plus but not required.
Experience working with food safety regulations and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not necessary—training will be provided.
Must be willing to learn and follow detailed standard operating procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely
Ability to work in a sometimes hot and humid kitchen environment
Ability to adhere to food safety protocols
Must be trainable, coachable, and open to feedback
Additional Requirements:
ServSafe Certification (If not currently certified, must obtain within a few weeks of starting—company assistance available).
Ability to stand for extended periods, minimum of 8 hours
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Reliable transportation to and from work
Good personal hygiene to maintain food manufacturing and safety standards
Work Environment:
Required to wear non-slip shoes
Able to wear scrubs and PPE for entire shift length
