Job Description
OVERVIEW :
We have an opening for an analyst to support our client, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). Our client is actively driving the modernization of their program and supporting IT infrastructure. They intended to streamline applications, increase productivity, share data in real-time, and provide a reporting structure that enables data-driven justification for planning and decision making. To support, we are providing program and agile IT management, requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, analytics, reporting / dashboarding, and program and policy analysis.
GENERAL DUTIES :
Communicate progress, manage risks, and drive essential elements such as UAT and change management.
Contribute to VA's mission to revolutionize the home loan lifecycle, reduce manual data entry, improve data integrity, and streamline processes to establish an industry-aligned Application Programming Interface (API) ecosystem over the course of several years.
Oversee externally facing APIs that feed future API ecosystem that span the entirety of the VA home loan lifecycle. Help foster future API implementation efforts to enhance program oversight and facilitate seamless transactions between lenders and VA staff, streamlining the loan origination process.
Oversee, track, and communicate the needs, dependencies, statuses, and risks associated with change management for internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as the UAT lead for several development teams, overseeing alignment with client requirements, associated policies, and acceptance criteria in support of program initiatives.
Oversee the collaboration with stakeholders to evaluate defects and enhancements and maintain methodical documentation and traceability of testing results.
Manage the development of proposed testing requirements and collaborate with business stakeholders to validate testing needs. Coordinate with colleagues to validate the understanding of solutioning documents, facilitate discussions between the DevSecOps team and clients as needed.
Manage the creation of comprehensive test case documentation, utilizing Word documents for step-by-step guidance, Excel Workbooks for automation support for expected values and calculations, and XMLs for Uniform Closing Datasets (UCDs) and Uniform Closing Loan Application Datasets (ULADs) created via Encompass. Additionally, oversee the generation of PDF Closing Disclosures (CDs) and PDF Uniform Residential Loan Applications (URLAs) through Encompass, and the compilation of summary result documentation.
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Out of area travel is minimal.
Bachelor’s degree
6-10 years of mortgage industry experience
Experience supporting the mortgage industry with gathering program requirements, modernizing program and IT services, and understanding of mortgage processes, including their applicability to program transformation efforts.
Experience leading UAT for multiple product releases
Skilled in collecting and defining program requirements
Experience leading program releases within each program increments (PI) based on business systems and functional requirements
Proficient in leading or managing scrum and agile development teams
Skill in using Oracle BI, Databricks, JIRA, Tableau, Confluence, Visio, Google Analytics, Maximo, SAP, MATLAB, SolidWorks, Clarizen, and Minitab
Experience with analytic tools for developing dashboard, such as Tableau, PowerBI, and other data visualization tool applications
Academic or work experience using quantitative methods to derive policy and program solutions
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Project
