Job Description
OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a Cisco Network Engineer with an expertise in network design, architecture, and operations to work as part of a collaborative, multi-discipline team in support of the US Government providing expertise in the field of network engineering.
GENERAL DUTIES :
Designing and implementing Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN / WAN)
Conveying technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and providing briefings to government personnel.
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching, and network architecture planning.
Knowledge of remote administration and secure Virtual Private Networking.
Understand commercial encryption standards and their application in IP networking.
Knowledge of VPN technologies, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IP Multicasting.
Strong cybersecurity hardening experience in a federal setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within small and large groups.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
CLEARANCE :
Top Secret minimum with the ability to obtain SCI
Desired Skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
8 Years of network engineering experience in a federal setting
Ability to navigate and configure Linux operating systems.
Understanding of wired data transport mediums to include Category 5e / 6 and fiber optics.
Experience with Cisco equipment and the implementation of STIGS, ACL's, VPN's, OSPF, VRF, Cisco
ASA and Firepower firewalls, WLC's, Wireless AP's.
Experience with TACLANES, Cisco ISE, DNA Center, RSA SecurID.
AWS cloud experience
Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)
