Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES :
Develop project management standards, ensure project management procedures are followed, and completing project documents
Oversee, coordinate, and monitor IT projects ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and as planned
Prepare formal written technical content for the creation, development, implementation, and management of projects
Deliver well-organized briefings or presentations on all aspects of a project to clients and management officials
Analyze technical and business processes in assigned areas of responsibility, identifying opportunities for improvement, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations to management
Versed in the use of project management tools such as MS Project to identify timelines, milestones, and critical paths
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience working projects in technical IT large scale data center operations environments, such as mass data storage (HP, Hitachi, EMC, etc.), event monitoring and management, library-based backups (HP, Quantum, IBM, etc.), and large blade server implementations (HP, Dell, Cisco, etc.)
Experience managing large scale VMware upgrades (vCenter, vSphere, NSX) spanning multiple data centers
Possess a solid understanding of highly technical data center environments and equipment, be able to communicate and work with IT professionals doing systems engineering and administration in these environments
Enjoys a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills
Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
Must possess IT data center technical project management experience with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple technical disciplines
Must have organizational skills - Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
Requires limited supervision : Self-motivated; Self-starter; Time management skills
Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills : Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues and communicate on a technical level to a technical audience
Ability to work flexible hours
Ability to do limited travel
