Assistant Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the maintenance operations of our company. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning company buildings and assisting the Maintenance Technician with various maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of company buildings, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

• Assist the Maintenance Technician with various maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

• Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and tools, and notify the supervisor when stock is low.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

• Assist with minor repairs, such as fixing leaks, changing light bulbs, and painting as needed.

• Respond to maintenance requests from staff and prioritize tasks as directed by the Maintenance Technician.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing maintenance projects and building needs.

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Technician or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance roles is a plus, but not required.

• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and techniques is beneficial.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers.

• Ability to lift and carry items up to [insert weight] pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

• Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on job duties.
