Biologist - Contract - Cambridge, MA
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Biologist to join an innovative team.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is focused on early drug discovery in the Targeted Protein Degradation field. This role offers a chance to significantly contribute to developing targeted therapies within a dynamic research setting. The successful; candidate's expertise will help advance next-generation treatments for patients.
Skills & Requirements:
- MS alongside minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or PhD with 1 years of relevant experience in oncology, molecular biology, cell biology, or related discipline.
- Proficient in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture, CTG/CyQuant, AlphaLISA, western blots, qPCR; experience with NGS-based techniques and high content imaging is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with analytical software tools like Excel and Prism.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting.
- Commitment to core values such as patient focus, thoughtfulness, urgency, trust, and optimism.
The Biologist's responsibilities will be:
- Conduct, optimize, and troubleshoot cellular screening assays and mechanism of action studies independently.
- Process, interpret, and present data to cross-functional teams.
- Design and execute experiments to assess mechanisms of action, target dependencies, and phenotypic responses.
- Manage collaborations with CROs for cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques.
- Contribute experimentally and intellectually to cross-functional project teams.
- Stay updated with relevant scientific literature.
